A literary criticism of the book “Zeitoun,” by Dave Eggers is presented. It outlines the traditional Southern narratives in the creative nonfiction book which represents the multicultural and transnational South characterized by migration, displacement, dynamism, and crisis. It examines the four devices employed by Eggers which produce the feel of fiction. An overview of the story is also given
